Dancing the Waves

by Ravenchilde

wave

The warm cloak that is life
Surrounds me lovingly
The eagerness of time
Moves past me silkily
And I am not afraid.

When dark memories haunt
When torment chases
As I am alone in the night
And when heartache is near
I am not afraid.

The sun shines brightly
A breeze dances caressingly
As I give wings to my dreams
And begin to climb my mountain
I am not afraid

The silent fall of salty tears
This rush of guilty love
With the sweetness of a kiss
And the bitterness of blood
I am not afraid.

Dancing upon the Waves of Life
I am laughing and crying
I am in love and alone
I am wholy panfully alive
And I am not afraid.
